dunno about the unusual question, but you could also maybe add suum for beyond. That could be an intensifier, and there's precedent from ori'suumyc about it being used emphatically.

It's been awhile, but I don't think I've asked this question before. Since I first got on here, I translated "Eternal glory? Doesn't matter. Always putting your comrades first? The most important." as "Darasuum kote? Wer'cuy. Kartaylir darasuum ner vode? Darasuum te ori'waadasla." in my sig but wondered if I did it right.

It's based on the use of "wer'cuy" from a phrase in one of the Republic Commando books, but I'm asking less "is this an accurate translation?" more "would I be able to say this without sounding like I was a child who hadn't learned Mando'a yet?"

the biggest change I'd make is make the last sentence something like "te jaon'ne", instead. Other than that, everything's more or less subjective as to how to say something, and I think it works okay.

So my roleplaying group needs a term for an animal trainer. Since Boba was introduced in that nightmare that we know as the Holiday Special, it's been clear that Mandalorians are definitely keen on taming animals for use as mounts and probably also war beasts. The series The Mandalorian supports this as well.

So I started with the basic concepts. Uliik (beast) bajur (education) adat (person).
Where I'm falling apart is in the process of adding the appropriately extreme level of brevity and the application of the beten, if any.
Uliikbajuradat is WAY too complex a compound word for the Mandalorian tongue, I feel. It's probably even uncomfortable for a typical German!

What about Ulbajad?

I think ulbajad might be a bit more tightened than needed here, there isn't necessarily a reason to keep it one word. Maybe uliik bajad?
