Mandalorian Music

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this post, but I'm going to try it here. It doesn't have any direct bearing actually learning Mando'a, just enjoying it. Anyway, I've heard a couple of songs in Mando'a and loved them. Saz, from the mercs forum, posted this to his deviant art account and it was so good I had to share it. He wrote and produced his own song in Mando'a. You can read all about it right HERE. I'd love to find even more Mandalorian music, so if you have any, please share!

That's a good find. Unfortunately I have no musical talent otherwise I would be tempted to do something similar myself. As for other mandalorian music all I have is the few done for the Republic Commando game that I got off of the sound track.

Not bad for amateur work. Could be a little more smoothly produced. While Mando culture is heavily militaristic, I'd like to see some variety from the same old war tunes and marches.

I agree vod Lyat'aag. I actually started (likely poorly) translating Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" into Mando'a. I got sort of bored at work and had that going as an earworm and, yes, I was singing it. So my boss walks up to my desk and say "How about you do something constructive, like singing that in that language you're always saying things in." Yeah, he's an awesome guy to work for. He even helps me with prop work.

Anyway, it was something to do to relieve the boredom of a slow day in the world of computer repair. I got the first verse done. Should I copy it here, or start a new thread in a different area?

Man, I once made the mistake of showing the translator to one of my coworkers. He emailed it to everyone, and for the following three or four months, every day there were new cracks about it. Occasionally they'd look up words and laugh at how they sounded. I worked with weird people.

Should have left notes around, made them look them up.

like just randomly change the password to something.

Ha! That would have been great. Too bad I didn't think of that at the time. :)

Yeah, my boss assaults my Mandalorian knowledge almost every day now. The most recent was,
Boss: "I thought you said all Mandalorians were good."
Me: Yeah, sort of...
Boss: What about Deathwatch then?!
Me: I said "inherently" good, there's always going to be bad apples.
Boss: You're just covering up for them... dirty f***ing Mandalorian Spin Doctor that you are...
Me: (could not respond due to laughing so hard)
Boss: Yeah, laugh it up bucket head, I know the truth!

Lolwut. Your boss is totally a geek. Unless *you* told him about Deathwatch. :)

Nope, he started watching Clone Wars after I started prop building during work hours :)

Sorry for truncating that a bit.

I have a suggestion specific to the section of comment I quoted.

There is actually a thread category for just that sort of thing. In the "board index" screen, there is an option called "Texts in Mando." Assuming it doesn't have the music too, that would be the place you might want it to go to post it.
