Olarom, Circadiana! I love TMS and TCW too, would love to see your art for it. The baat has a classroom server link hiding out in one of their resource channels, so be sure to hop in there as well, it's usually gets updated with Mando'a resources before the main server. Super cool that you do music too, do you think you'd want to sing in Mando'a?

Yo, I go by Theo online.

I'm a huge nerd, and find Mando'a and Mandalorian culture fascinating.

Long term, I've got vague Ideas of writing a novella in Mando'a but for right now I'd simply like to learn.

Su'cuy!!!
My name is Natteo (theo for short). I use he/they pronouns in basic (though I'm very excited to see that mando'a isn't gendered!!)
You can find me most places as echomoon or echolaliamoon. I do fiction and nonfiction writing, most types of arts and crafts, music, and I have a background in anthropology and archeology.
I decided to learn Mando'a because of the fanfiction series The Desert Storm by Blue_Sunshine! I've been a star wars fan for a long time but generally prefer the transformative side of fandom, and also never really looked far beyond a casual interest, but the fic has inspired me to stop and take a look at the breadth of cultures that the star wars universe has? And it also made me realize how beautiful of a language mando'a is. I'm really excited to learn it and to make friends in the community!

Su cuy'an! Ner gai ladyphlogiston

I think that's right? I'm very much a newbie. I picked up a few words of Mando'a reading fanfiction, and I figured I might as well learn a little more. We (me, my husband, our four daughters) are mostly a Star Wars family, so it fits.

Salvete! Su cuy'gar! Hello!

I am a language enthusiast, mostly ancient ones. Ever since I was a kid, I loved Star Wars.
When I then discovered that there was an actual language, it was like a dream come true!
I am still a newbie and looking forward to perfecting the mandalorian language while having a lot of fun.
I started out with translating "Vode An", a soundtrack/song from the video-game "Star Wars: Republic Commando" with only the dictionary at my disposal, and frankly, it helps a lot to get basics of the conjugation, word order, etc.
I couldn't recommend this enough to beginners!
At the least I am very happy to have a language in my favorite franchise.

Yours,
miit'hibir

Olarom miit'hibir! That's how I worked into language familiarity too, first translating the canon songs and then translating songs from other languages into mando'a.

You'll have way more fun when you move away from Vode An I bet, since the word order and grammar in that is... somewhat different

Su'cuy vode!

I'm starting to learn the mando'a alphabet. Not sure how far I'll get learning to actually speak mando'a, but hopefully I'll pick up a few phrases at least.

Welcome! I admit I still have to look up the script most of the time, it's not the most user-friendly...

Hi,
This resource is fantastic! I've been lurking for a while, but finally wanted to contribute to the conversation!
I am particularly interested about the situation of Mando'a in the larger context of the Star Wars universe especially in extenuating works :) but also the social construction of words as part of Mandalorian culture (guess what I majored with in college, I dare you).
I have extrapolated my name from what I'd imagine to be an endearment, "little flame" being someone with a bright personality, but also maybe a bit pejoratively as "feisty/fiery".
