Re: List of Custom Words
Good suggestions. I would imagine Mando'ade would despise spies (say that three times, fast); this recommendation makes sense as a stand-in for the lack of a dedicated word (context would highlight its specific meaning). I might also suggest some merging of ranov'la (secret) and verd (soldier) or j...

Re: Creating new words, yay or nay?
If we start making words, might I suggest we start with structural ones? A language without a word for roof, wall, door, floor... yeah, it slows down quite a bit.
Also, as an aside, I've started using Mhokar to mean sun, as in the local star of a system. Taken from Mhor Ka'ra.

Re: Dedicated Translation Help Thread
One thing that always confused me was the wording on this one:
te'habir be the-HAH-beer beh remove, take out (when used transitively, be precedes the object - No te'habi kad be dalab )
How is it properly used? Te'habi be kad dalab? That doesn't seem to make much sense to me...

Re: Semantics: Analyzing Mando'a words and their real meanin
What do you suppose the difference between "adate" and "droten" is? Both mean people, one seems to do more with... maybe a political sense? As it's being used in "tsad droten" to mean "republic" so maybe it carries more of a sense of "people who are involved with the community" or something?

Haav is bed, jorcu is because.
This thread has been rather helpful to me, I printed off the wordlist and I'm working on memorizing it. My grammar's good, but my vocabulary is lacking...
