Re: Mando'a Posters, Banners, Avatars, etc.
I have a new 'forum formatted' (486x60) banner for peoples signature areas if anyone is interested in repping Mando'a.org. Sorry for the slowdown in new material lately. Been a crazy, busy, headache-y sort of few weeks. But, I'm Mando, so no excuses! Anyway(!), here it is: http://i962.photobucket.co...

Re: Mando'a Posters, Banners, Avatars, etc.
I'm heading to South Korea and we have patch and coin makers out there. If you haven't found anything by then, let me know. I know they give deals on bulk sales but I don't remember the quantity. The upside would be that I could personally verify their work before we pay. They tend to not accept mo...

Re: Mando'a Posters, Banners, Avatars, etc.
I'd wear that on a shirt... for that matter, stickers would be cool... Ori'vore, vode! I was worried that after the long wait with something that looks so basic, everyone would be like, "That's it?" I may try making a shirt to see how it comes out. I'll take pics and let you know. Also, I need to f...

Re: Mando'a MP3
I was at Barnes and Nobles recently. It came to my attention that we have a lack of resources (CD, Iphone apps, Flash Cards, etc) when it comes to language building. I recently purchased a digital voice recorder and was wondering if anyone has tried to make a Mando'a audio set? Does anyone have sug...

Re: Weekly Mando'a Night
In any case, the links to all three are in my above post. Or just hit up Freenode in an IRC client and join #mando'a. I'll be trying to maintain a regular presence there, and someday in the next few weeks I hope to have my bot, Ord'ika up and running and hanging out there for quick translation requ...

Mai'jis bal Ashton, olarom, ner vode! Wow, exciting times to have so many new vode! Like Adi'karta, I've been absent a lot more than I care to be lately. Re: Mando'a Posters, Banners, Avatars, etc.
OK, here it is! After weeks of editing (and maybe a bit of procrastination due to work, kids, other projects, and gaming), I submit for your approval (and Cuyan's editing) my idea for the new Mando'a.org logo! http://i962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/mando_raeth/Mandoa%20bal%20Mandoade/NewMandoaAlii...

Re: Mando'a Posters, Banners, Avatars, etc.
Just realised I've been spelling paklalat wrong. I spelled it p a k a l a t. There was a stealthy L in there that I somehow missed. p a k l a l a t. Easy tongue. Seriously, I just saw this after finishing up the new logo. Please, pardon me while I go scream, beat my head against a wall, then weep s...

Vor'e! I look forward to learning as much as I can from everyone here. I hope to contribute as well. Olarom, Nuh'shir! Glad to have you join us here! Sorry to have been a little slow in greeting you. As you can imagine, Mando'a.org is a bit of a labor of love, and sometimes real life stuff keeps us...

Re: List of Custom Words
Yellow is the Mandalorian color representing shereshoy - a lust for life. Oya - to hunt - is a word and concept that is at well rooted in the core of Mandalorian life and culture. To hunt is to be alive, and to be alive is to hunt, in a way. So, for yellow (a word absent in the canon), how about oya...

Re: Mando Code
You know the thing about this that amazes me? The, say, ten or so of us that are really active on this forum might well be the most experienced with this language. We might literally be the best people on the planet at something. It's like being a scholar, except for the part where it's... y'know, ...

Re: Mando'a Posters, Banners, Avatars, etc.
I think having the tusks/tentacles/teeth/fangs/whatever spelling out "mando'a" is very clever and it looks pretty cool. It's also very detailed, so scaling it down to a logo may prove difficult. That said, it would definitely function well on a large scale, such as a flag. I still have a lot of cle...

Re: Mando'a Posters, Banners, Avatars, etc.
OK, so I know that I have been quiet (for a change!) for several days now. Work, kids, etc., have all been eating into my time, along with updates to our FB page and our Twitter feed. That said, I have also been working on something a little more exciting, too. Cuyan challenged me to come up with so...

Re: Mando'a.org takes over the INTERWEBZ!
I am supportive of this idea and am following (and have been liking posts) using my IRL identity for the time being until I see a need to create a dedicated Mandalorian-self Facebook identity. As far as the Youtube channel goes, I have a Google Apps domain for mandoa.org (registered way back while ...

Re: Mando'a.org takes over the INTERWEBZ!
Ner vode, I need your help! Our Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/mandoa.org ) is slowly but surely bringing in the 'likes' and 'follows'. Our Twitter feed ( @MandoaOrg ) is trailing behind a bit, but also has a couple of follows. Those new avenues together with this forum means our web prese...

Re: What brings you here on this fine day?
So, turns out learning Arabic is made easier with some Mando'a knowledge. Some of the pronunciation and certain ways prefixes are used help things out. And the flip side of this is, having learned Japanese is actually helpful for learning some of the concepts in Mando'a. Neat how that happens! :thu...

Re: Mando'a.org and Facebook
Ah, I am relieved you are good with things, Adi'karta. Cuyan and I are already in discussions about where to take the logo and other 'branding', heh heh. We're going to start bouncing ideas and files back and forth hopefully tonight. As for myself, yes, please, feel free to use anything I put up her...
